In June 2025, Yamaha Motor Company plans to introduce the G30E and G31EP, two new five-seater electric golf carts, in Japan. Additionally, the company intends to eventually release both models to the Taiwanese market. Yamaha wants to sell 1,600 of the two electric golf carts a year.

The manually operated G31EPs and electromagnetically guided G30Es, both of which are outfitted with a vehicle control unit and a recently designed lithium-ion battery, make up the new lineup.

In addition to an electric vehicle’s natural quietness, a more powerful, stable, and smooth ride can be achieved by using a high-performance AC motor with better speed and torque control.

The lithium-ion battery was developed internally by Yamaha Motor and is entirely designed and produced by the business. According to Yamaha, the use of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) components in its cells has resulted in great dependability and a long lifespan.

Users can select between two battery options—4 kWh and 6 kWh—based on factors including driving range, course characteristics, and preferred style of play. The drive motor’s Motor Control Unit (MCU) is properly managed by the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), resulting in excellent output and efficiency. In comparison to earlier versions, the combination of an AC motor and an enhanced regenerative braking system lowers power usage by about 30%.
