Oben Electric has raised the bar in consumer trust and product assurance with the launch of its Protect 8/80 plan. Starting May 1st, customers can avail this comprehensive battery warranty, offering 8 years or 80,000 km of coverage, at an affordable price of ₹9,999. As the first of its kind in the commuter electric motorcycle segment, the Protect 8/80 underscores Oben’s unwavering commitment to performance, reliability, and customer-first innovation.

At the core of this bold move lies Oben’s proprietary high-performance Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, designed, developed, and manufactured in-house to suit the demanding Indian terrain and climate. Unlike Li-NMC batteries, Oben’s LFP battery can withstand up to 50% higher temperature, ensuring high reliability and optimal performance even in extreme conditions. This technological edge enables Oben Electric to back its battery with one of the longest warranty coverages in the commuter segment, delivering real value and peace of mind to customers.

A key advantage of the Protect 8/80 plan is its cost-effectiveness, offering category-leading battery coverage at a competitive price, offering customers assurance of the Rorr EZ’s longevity and long-term performance.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Oben Electric, said, “With the Rorr EZ, we’ve redefined the commuter electric motorcycle experience. The introduction of this new battery protect plan reflects our unwavering confidence in our technology and our commitment to ensuring long-term customer satisfaction. It’s our way of ensuring riders, whether new or future owners, experience dependable performance and complete peace of mind every single day.”

The Protect 8/80 plan is available to both existing and new customers, offering coverage for both the 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh battery variants of the Rorr EZ. Designed for daily commuters, the Rorr EZ boasts an IDC range of 175 km, accelerates from 0-40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 95 km/h. Combining efficiency and performance, it’s available starting at an ex-showroom price of ₹89,999. The new battery warranty plan is offered across Oben Electric’s 36 showrooms nationwide, allowing customers to easily walk in and enhance their ownership experience.
