      MSME Ministry to Hold Vendor Development Program on EV Tech

      Spreading awareness on electric mobility adoption, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has announced to organize a Vendor Development Programme (VDP) on December 8 and 9, 2022 at Apparel House in Gurugram.

      VDPThe chief guest of the event will be Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dushyant Chautala who will address the inaugural session.

      During the VDP various technical sessions will be organized, which are useful for the EV sector as new standards will be explained by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

      There will be sessions on EV Policies, Government Schemes & Incentives for MSMEs for EV set up and Quality – Safety Standards & Technologies for EVs.

      Entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to interact with officers of the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) which is an approved agency for testing for automobiles and know what kind of testing requirements are applicable for EVs.

      Similarly, entrepreneurs can interact with senior officials of the bureau of energy efficiency which is creating charging infrastructure in the country.

      Haryana renewable energy authority, HAREDA senior officials will explain charging infrastructure and other initiatives.

      Further officials from Invest India will explain who intends to invest in India or have joint ventures or technology tie-ups for the EV sector.
