      Mallareddy University Partners with ThunderPlus for EV Education

      Mallareddy Deemed-to-be University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ThunderPlus, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, to jointly develop academic programmes and initiatives focused on India’s growing EV sector. The collaboration aims to foster talent, provide hands-on industry exposure, and drive research in sustainable and green mobility technologies.

      Under the MoU, the university and ThunderPlus will co-create specialised EV-focused academic programmes and courses tailored for students, offering opportunities for practical learning through projects, internships, and industry placements. Both partners will also collaborate on research and development initiatives designed to advance innovation in clean transportation and sustainable technologies.

      Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Shri Dr Ch. Badra Reddy, Chairman of Mallareddy Group, said,

      “ThunderPlus has set new benchmarks in the Indian EV sector by making charging infrastructure reliable, accessible, and scalable. Their innovative work is not only solving real-world challenges but also inspiring future engineers to think big.”

      As part of Engineers’ Day celebrations, Mallareddy University felicitated Mr Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, for his notable contributions to India’s EV ecosystem. Expressing his gratitude, Mr YSR said,

      “This recognition on Engineers’ Day is not just about me but about the collective spirit of the ThunderPlus family. Together, we are building solutions to make EV adoption simple and accessible. Through this MoU, we look forward to nurturing the next generation of engineers who will accelerate India’s transition to clean mobility.”

      The event was attended by Dr Yuvaraju Chinnam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Mallareddy University, along with deans, faculty members, and other distinguished guests. The partnership underscores the university’s commitment to shaping industry-ready talent in the rapidly evolving EV landscape while promoting research, innovation, and sustainability.
