Chennai-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm Kshema Power has secured a ₹108 crore contract to construct a 400 kV transmission line in Andhra Pradesh. The project involves building a 42-kilometre line in the Ananthapuram district to transmit electricity from a 1 GW wind farm, bolstering the region’s renewable energy infrastructure.
The transmission line will be a single-circuit installation on double-circuit towers, ensuring efficient and reliable power transfer. The project underscores Kshema Power’s reentry into the high-voltage transmission segment and its continued commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy goals.
Speaking on the project, Dr Sateesh Basant, Managing Director of Kshema Power, said,
“We are happy to have this landmark project, which not only marks our re-entry into the high-voltage transmission segment but also reinforces our commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure in India. This achievement paves the way for significant growth at Kshema Power and will create new employment opportunities, contributing positively to both industry and society. We look forward to delivering this project with excellence and building on more such opportunities in the future.”
Kshema Power’s responsibilities encompass the entire project lifecycle, including design approval, material procurement, civil construction, tower erection, regulatory clearances, testing protocols, and final commissioning. Expert teams will be deployed to ensure the project is executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
This transmission line project represents a critical step toward strengthening renewable energy connectivity in Andhra Pradesh and demonstrates Kshema Power’s growing role in India’s sustainable energy sector.
