Role Purpose of Localization Lead – Responsible for new supplier development in the region for in line of localization/regionalization strategy . The role will be responsible for supplier development in line of company objective ensuring on time SOP in compliance with standards and procedures & QCD
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Supplier Development
- Subject Matter expert for his/her commodity with a regional scope, covering multiple plants.
- Support new supplier development, align and execute commodity strategy within the sourcing process to create competitive advantage for the Business Unit (BU).
- Responsible for costing , sourcing process (RFQ, negotiations, technical reviews , CMC,SSR/SNC) in coordination with cross functional leaders to ensure flawless launch, on-time performance and meeting QCD targets of the project.
- Lead negotiations and related formal contractual agreements (Letter of Nomination including annual productivity, business link, payment terms, logistics protocol, Terms & Conditions…) under delegation of Commodity Procurement Managers/Directors and in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Set up weekly review system to track the project progress & highlight for any support/escalation affecting timeline /objective
- Closely collaraborte with various function internally covering technical reviews , part inspection, sample /PPAP lot validation & finally for SOP preparation
- Act with integrity and full respect of business ethics. Comply with business unit and company policies, procedures and DOA requirements.
- Lead and assist in problem-solving activities with key suppliers product development to STD & no delays
- Ensure APQP is strictly applied in new development and in mass production phases.
- Reporting & Systems
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data in the iDash information systems.
- Manage accurate and on-time monthly reporting for localization project
- Ensure strict compliance to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills required
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, with a extensive experience of new supplier development & Change management
- Formal Quality certification is desirable
- Fluent in English. Additional language competencies desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years demonstrated success as New supplier development or Supplier Quality or equivalent experience in a similar role leading egnieering or manufacturing teams. Automotive experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability for supplier assessment & audit as per relevant quality standard.
- Demonstrated ability of successfully collaborating & working with a large team located in various sites.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and technical acumen.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel. Additional competencies in MRP/ERP, MS Project, and database systems is preferred.
- Results-oriented with good written and oral communication skills.
