A subsidiary of TI Clean Mobility and a venture of the Murugappa Group, TIVOLT Electric Vehicles has announced plans to launch its e-SCV (electric small commercial vehicle) soon, launching the group’s entry into the electric small commercial vehicle industry.
The TIVOLT Electric Vehicles e-SCV, which has undergone intensive research and rigorous testing, is expected to transform India’s mid-mile and last-mile mobility sectors. It features state-of-the-art technology, a unique design, strong performance, and a lasting structure.
TI Clean Transportation Pvt. Ltd. (TICMPL), a subsidiary of Tube Investments of India (TI) that was founded in February 2022, is dedicated to offering clean transportation solutions. With the launch of e-SCVs as its fourth EV platform, TICMPL hopes to provide enterprises and logistics firms with all-inclusive mobility solutions that address their last-mile, intracity, and intercity transportation demands.
Vellayan Subbiah, TII Executive Vice Chairman, expressed the significance of the venture, stating, “Montra Electric embodies our commitment to eco-friendly mobility solutions, heralding a new era of growth and innovation. The electric vehicle industry is undergoing a transformative phase, both in India and globally. We have dedicated considerable resources and effort to develop this product, and we eagerly await customer response upon its launch. Highlighting India’s potential to lead global electric vehicle adoption, Subbiah emphasized TICMPL’s substantial commitment to the sector, amounting to three thousand crores. With the development of four platforms, including the successful MHCV truck and EV three-wheeler, TICMPL’s upcoming entry into the Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) segment holds particular promise. This segment, being the largest category in the commercial vehicle sector, is expected to swiftly adopt EVs, driven by supportive policies, government initiatives, and increasing adoption rates. TIVOLT Electric Vehicles e-SCV is poised to be a standout product in the market, positioning TICMPL as a leading player in India’s electric vehicle segment.
