As part of its ongoing initiatives towards encouraging electric mobility, Audi India has expanded its ‘Charge My Audi’ network to over 6,500 charging points throughout the nation. In this second phase of growth, DC fast-charging technology is now available in 75% of the locations, thereby improving country-wide access to charging infrastructure.
The German luxury car producer has strategically distributed over 5,500 additional charging points across key locations including roads, urban areas, and business centers.
Audi’s infrastructure coverage has been widened to 28 states and union territories, 850+ cities, and 4,700+ locations nationwide through alliances with 16 other EV infrastructure providers. With the expanded infrastructure, the integrated infrastructure features state-of-the-art functionality such as route planning, real-time recharge availability, and efficient start/stop functions through the ‘myAudi Connect’ app.
Moreover, the company has made free charging available for every user of its e-tron model until December 31, 2025. Therefore, owners can still use the ‘myAudi Connect’ app to make use of free charging services in the company’s large network.
Audi’s charging system is backed by several ChargePoint Operators such as Shell India, Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Ltd., Charge Zone, Statiq, and Gentari India, and so on. The tech platform is backed by Numocity Technology’s eMSP platform, offering real-time updates and public charging station integration.
This project extends the success of Phase I, where route-mapping facilities and destination charging points were launched with a view to offering seamless trip planning with live charger availability status.
