Aceleron Energy has had its commercial assets bought by Advik, a tier 1 supplier with its headquarters located in Pune.

According to the company, this action fits with its growth trajectory and marks its debut into the energy storage system (ESS) and electric vehicle (EV) sectors.

With the goal of advancing the creation of next-generation energy storage solutions, Advik hopes to grow both its clientele and product line with the aid of this acquisition. Through the acquisition, the company’s portfolio now includes cutting-edge lithium-ion battery technology, which is overseen by its UK subsidiary Advik Technologies.

Excitement at the acquisition was expressed by Aditya Bhartia, MD, Advik, who highlighted its commitment to a sustainable future driven by clean energy. In addition to bringing patented technologies, the acquisition expands Advik’s current network of ten plants with additional testing and prototyping facilities in the UK.

According to the company, the acquired technology revolutionises the design of lithium-ion batteries by doing away with the need for welding and fostering scalability and reusability. By extending battery life and decreasing waste, it improves accessibility to energy storage goods and is designed to complement a circular economic model.

Advik predicts increased electrification in stationary energy storage systems and the mobility area, encompassing the two-, three-, and passenger vehicle segments.
