ZERO21 Renewable Energy Solutions has launched ‘Project Gagan’, an EV exchange program for the rapid adoption of three-wheelers.
The scheme allows owners of fossil fuel auto-rickshaws to convert their cars to electric ones or swap them for new electric three-wheelers. According to the press release, any internal combustion engine (ICE) passenger three-wheeler may be converted to electric in less than four hours using a specially built Conversion Kit.
Zero21 intends to target 100,000 vehicles as part of Project Gagan over the next five years, either through refit or exchange for new electric vehicles.
Project Gagan primarily targets auto-rickshaw owners and fleet operators with the goal of improving health through decreased pollution and cheaper operating and maintenance expenses, resulting in long-term financial advantages for drivers.
