Vitesco Technologies has unveiled a range of innovative electrification and powertrain solutions at the ACMA Global Summit and Exhibition for EVs – Transforming Mobility. Held on February 26 and 27, at the Manekshaw Center in Delhi, the event aimed to position India as a global manufacturing hub for EV components amidst the country’s burgeoning EV market.

The EMR4, Vitesco Technologies’ next generation high voltage axle drive, was one of the items on display. This highly scalable axle drive consists of a permanent-magnet synchronous machine, an inverter, and a reducer, providing adaptability and efficiency across several vehicle segments.

Vitesco Technologies also demonstrated their High Voltage Box 2.0, which is designed for AC and DC charging to recharge high voltage batteries via the power grid. The charging performance varied from 11 kW to 22 kW for DC output at 800 V, with tailored solutions available for 400 V. Another standout feature is the Master Controller, which handles torque distribution to various control units including the engine, e-motor, and battery.

Other innovations showcased included the Fuel Cell Stack Control Valve, Inductive Rotor Position Sensor, H2 Leakage Sensor, and NOx sensors.

The ACMA EV Expo 2024 featured over 100 EV component manufacturers catering to all vehicle segments, demonstrating the industry’s breadth and depth. Organised by The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the event highlighted India’s prowess in the auto component industry, with a membership exceeding 850 manufacturers contributing to over 85% of the sector’s total turnover.
