Recently, Bengaluru-based startup Ultraviolette Automotive launched the Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter in India. The company has now announced that Tesseract has crossed 50,000 pre-bookings within two weeks of its global launch. As per the company, this achievement indicates how electric two-wheelers are gaining popularity.
The Ultraviolette Tesseract boasts a lot of advanced features. Its ADAS Safety Technology is its most distinctive feature. The dashcam and dual radar of the scooter, which are segment-first, are compatible with its Omni sense mirror. These systems provide real-time collision warnings, lane change support, blind spot detection, and overtaking support.
Tesseract is currently the first ADAS technology-equipped scooter in India. There is one radar on the front and one at the rear. There are other safety features too like Hill Hold, Dynamic Stability Control, and Traction Control.
Powerful Ultraviolette Tesseract engine
The Ultraviolette Tesseract gets power from a 20.1bhp electric motor and is built on a new platform. The electric scooter is reportedly good for 261 km in a single full charge, although the battery size has not been announced yet.
Three battery options are expected for this electric scooter. Three, five, and six kWh. This electric scooter, as claimed by the manufacturer, goes from 0 to 60 kmph in a mere 2.9 seconds. It is reportedly capable of reaching a top speed of 125 kmph.
Pricing and Booking Details of Ultraviolette Tesseract
For the initial 50,000 customers, the introductory price of this electric scooter was priced at ₹ 1.20 lakh. Since 50,000 customers have booked it, the ex-showroom base price is ₹ 1.45 lakh. This electric scooter can be pre-booked in advance at a nominal charge of ₹999 on Ultraviolet’s website. From the first quarter of 2026, this electric scooter will be delivered.
