Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled the X-47 Crossover, the world’s first production motorcycle with an integrated radar system, setting a new benchmark in electric two-wheeler innovation. Launched at an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the X-47 combines advanced rider safety, high performance, and long-range capability.

      World’s First Radar-Integrated Motorcycle

The X-47 is equipped with a 77 GHz long-range radar and dual cameras that power the UV HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System (ARAS). Key features include blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, rear collision warning, and overtake alerts – safety technologies rarely seen in motorcycles.

      Power and Performance

      • Motor Output: 40.2 hp (30 kW)

      • Torque: 610 Nm at the wheel

      • Acceleration: 0–60 km/h in 2.7 seconds

      • Top Speed: 145 km/h

The bike will be available in two battery options:

      • 7.1 kWh pack with up to 211 km range (IDC)

      • 10.3 kWh pack with up to 323 km range (IDC)

Ultraviolette has also introduced Parallel Boost Charging, combining onboard and auxiliary chargers to reduce charging time significantly.

      Premium Components and Safety

The X-47 comes with Brembo braking system, Bosch 10th-gen dual-channel ABS, three levels of traction control, 41 mm inverted front forks, and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, offering enhanced stability and control.

      Market Expansion and Future Plans

Ultraviolette aims to sell 10,000 units in FY26, scaling its Bengaluru plant capacity to 1 lakh units annually. The company already exports to over 10 European markets and plans to expand to 40 international markets in the coming years. An IPO is under consideration for FY27-28.

      Why It Matters

With its radar-based safety, powerful performance, and aggressive pricing, the Ultraviolette X-47 is set to redefine the electric motorcycle segment in India and abroad. Industry experts view it as a game-changer in EV technology and rider safety.
