TVS Supply Chain Solutions, has announced that it has completed 500,000 CKD (Complete Knock-Down) kits for its client, TVS Motor Company.

This was accomplished in the 150,000-square-foot TVS SCS dedicated warehousing facility in Hosur, which guarantees deliveries free of defects and eliminates part mismatches.

The company offers comprehensive value-added services, including production planning, quality control, inbound material operations, kitting, reverse logistics, export, and more, at its Hosur location. After reaching its first milestone of 100,000 CKD kits in July 2022, the fully automated plant showed a steady record of adding one lakh kits to the milestone every five months.

“It is a remarkable milestone that highlights the significance of our digital capabilities, scalability, and adaptability that ensured we stayed in line with our customers’ evolving requirements. By employing AI and visual technologies, we provide top-notch sub-assembly and kitting procedures through our value-added services,” stated Ravi Viswanathan, MD of Supply Chain Solutions.

TVS Motor serves 26 export destinations in Asia and Africa with their CKD kits. The state-of-the-art, technologically advanced facility at TVS SCS helps to improve worldwide export capabilities through CKD assembly with an emphasis on attaining zero faults.

Currently, its Hosur factory employs about 220 people in a variety of production divisions. This includes thirty female workers who work on the CKD kits’ primary, secondary, and binning processes, among other tasks.
