The new Tata Sierra ICE prototype at the Tata Motors booth at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 attracted the greatest attention, making it one of the busiest.

This year, the petrol-powered Tata Sierra took center stage at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, where the domestic automaker had previously displayed the electric vehicle (EV) version of the Sierra. The Sierra on display at the car exhibition was a vehicle that was almost finished. Although the car’s exterior was made public, the interior was kept secret.

Design of the Tata Sierra ICE

Due to the gloss black highlights on the rear doors and C-pillars, which are evocative of the original Sierra, the new Sierra maintains its recognizable boxy design and alpine window treatment. Compared to the 2024 idea, there are some notable design changes, especially at the front. Instead of the EV’s elegant, closed-off body-colored grille, a dramatic blacked-out panel with “SIERRA” lettering and a full-width LED DRL at the top has been installed. The blacked-out area below has a grille aperture with streamlined LED headlamps on either side.

Features of the Tata Sierra ICE

Tata has stated that the Sierra’s powertrain would include next-generation engines and come in internal combustion and all-electric versions.

The power and engine of the Tata Sierra ICE

An entirely new 1.5-liter Hyperion turbo-petrol engine will power the new Tata Sierra. Fiat is probably going to supply the 2.0-liter oil burner diesel engine that powers the Harrier and Safari.

The ICE version of the Tata Sierra will have a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system, while the EV will have all-wheel-drive (AWD).
