In a significant leap toward sustainable mobility, Honda Motor Co. has officially unveiled its first all-electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan. The global debut marks Honda’s bold entry into the fully electric two-wheeler segment, reinforcing its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality in mobility by 2040.

The Honda WN7 is designed to blend performance, innovation, and eco-efficiency, appealing to both urban commuters and motorcycle enthusiasts. This cutting-edge electric motorcycle embodies Honda’s advanced R&D capabilities, offering a seamless combination of power, range, and intelligent features tailored for modern riders.

According to Honda, the WN7 features a new-generation electric powertrain with a high-density lithium-ion battery pack, capable of delivering impressive performance while maintaining optimal energy efficiency. The motor offers swift acceleration, smooth torque delivery, and instant throttle response, ensuring a dynamic yet quiet ride—a defining trait of electric motorcycles.

The WN7 also introduces a regenerative braking system, multiple riding modes, and smart connectivity that integrates with Honda’s MyRide+ app. The app allows riders to track battery health, monitor real-time performance, and access ride statistics for an enhanced digital experience.

From a design standpoint, the WN7 showcases Honda’s signature aerodynamic silhouette combined with sleek LED lighting, a lightweight aluminium frame, and ergonomically designed seats for optimal comfort during both short city rides and longer commutes.

As noted by EICMA attendees, the WN7 embodies Honda’s decades-long legacy of engineering excellence while simultaneously pushing the limits of electric mobility. Industry experts see the launch as a milestone in Honda’s electrification roadmap, which aims to roll out a complete range of electric motorcycles across various segments by the end of this decade.

Speaking at the launch, a Honda executive stated,

“The Honda WN7 represents our vision for the future of motorcycling—a fusion of electric performance, intelligent design, and sustainable innovation. With this launch, we’re not just redefining mobility; we’re reimagining freedom for the electric age.”

The Honda WN7 is expected to enter key global markets by mid-2026, starting with Europe, Japan, and select Asian regions, before expanding to other international markets, including India. Pricing and additional specifications will be revealed closer to the commercial launch.

With the debut of the WN7, Honda solidifies its position as a key player in the electric mobility revolution, combining technological prowess with its long-standing reputation for reliability and rider-centric innovation.
