EV infrastructure provider SUN Mobility has collaborated with EVeez to deploy over 10,000 vehicles across the country next year.

SUN MobilityIn a bid to promote mass adoption and usage of EVs, both companies aim to offer co-mobility solution wherein the same EV can be used for various purposes by multiple people.

EVeez will use SUN Mobility’s battery-swap solution-based Mobility-as-a-Service offering. This includes electric vehicles and smart batteries along with access to a wide network of swap points.

According to the agreement, 200 vehicles will be added to EVeez’s on-ground fleet every month.

Commenting on the partnership, Abhishek Dwivedi, Co-Founder, EVeez, said, “With the growing awareness about electric vehicles, the demand has also increased, however, a lot of this demand goes uncaptured as people have various concerns due the lack of first-hand experience and know-how of the vehicles. While buying an electric vehicle is already a costly affair, lack of credit ratings adds to the dismay. Our partnership with SUN mobility enables us to cover the huge gap of demand, supply, and maintenance of EVs for people using Electric vehicles, especially the ones using it for urban deliveries.”

Anant Badjatya, CEO of SUN Mobility said, “SUN Mobility’s utmost commitment to bring forth convenient, technologically superior, and sustainable solutions to the EV industry has always kept us a step ahead in the game. Together with EVeez, we aim to drive the common goal of accelerating the adoption of EVs in the country. With the government and key industry players recognizing battery-as-a-service to accelerate EV adoption, we aim to further bolster EV adoption in India in the 2-wheeler category.”

At present, around 250 vehicles have already been deployed and are running across Delhi-NCR.

From September, the operations will further expand to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, and Chandigarh.

This partnership will jointly provide customisable and integrated 2-wheeler swap solutions to the riders.
