Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has launched its second electric scooter, the Dot One at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) for pre-booked Simple One customers from the city. This limited offer stands while inventory lasts.

The Dot One has a single fixed battery that delivers 151km of certified range and 160km in IDC. The Dot One comes with a 750W charger and is available in four colors: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. Deliveries will begin in Bangalore, followed by other cities in stages.

Simple One asserts The Dot One, which rides on 12-inch wheels with specially built tubeless tyres, travels from 0 to 40kph in 2.77 seconds. The e-scooter has a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, and it has a peak torque output of 72 Nm. CBS is one of the safety elements, and it is complimented by effective disc brakes. The EV includes a 35-litre underseat storage compartment. A touchscreen instrument cluster with various capabilities and app connectivity is another product highlight.
