In a significant move to strengthen India’s clean mobility ecosystem, Refex Mobility has expanded its operations to the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). The company announced plans to deploy over 400 new clean-fuel four-wheeler electric vehicles in the region within the next three months, marking a major step toward decarbonising corporate transportation in northern India.
The expansion event was inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi, along with senior dignitaries and industry leaders. The initiative underscores Refex Mobility’s growing role in promoting sustainable and technology-driven mobility solutions for India’s business ecosystem.
Refex Mobility: Scaling Green Corporate Transportation
Currently, Refex Mobility operates a fleet of over 1,400 all-electric vehicles across major Indian cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The company provides clean and efficient transportation services to more than 70 leading corporates across industries, including BFSI, IT/ITES, telecommunications, e-commerce, and startups.
With its entry into Delhi NCR, Refex Mobility aims to create one of the largest corporate clean-mobility fleets in the region, enhancing accessibility to sustainable transport for both large enterprises and growing startups.
The company’s advanced transport management system (TMS) and focus on operational excellence have already helped it achieve a CO₂ emission reduction of 3.5 million kilograms since inception. Refex plans to leverage its Delhi NCR operations as a strategic hub to further expand into Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities across India.
Government Endorsement and Vision for Sustainable Mobility
At the launch event, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi commended Refex Mobility’s efforts in supporting India’s renewable energy and EV goals, stating:
“Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing rapidly towards clean energy and sustainable mobility. To truly unlock the promise of electric vehicles, we must ensure they are powered by solar energy. I urge corporates to adopt solar-based charging for their EV fleets, reducing oil imports, cutting emissions, and building greener, healthier cities in line with their ESG commitments.”
His remarks highlighted the critical role of solar-powered charging infrastructure in achieving India’s net-zero emission goals and strengthening the nation’s energy independence.
Leadership Insights: Commitment to Responsible Growth
Anil Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Refex Group, emphasised the company’s long-term sustainability vision:
“Delhi NCR is not just an expansion for us but a commitment to scale. Within a couple of quarters, we will create one of the largest corporate clean-mobility fleets in the region. At Refex, we believe in diversification with responsibility, and Green Mobility is one of the most critical pillars of our sustainability journey.”
Echoing this sentiment, Anirudh Arun, CEO of Refex Mobility, added:
“At Refex Mobility, we are reimagining what reliable and responsible mobility means for India. Our promise is built on three pillars – dependable fleets that corporates can count on, exceptional experiences for every rider, and a deep commitment to sustainability and our driver partners. With our entry into Delhi NCR, we are proud to bring this ethos to the capital as we continue shaping a cleaner and more trusted future for urban mobility.”
Driving India’s Green Mobility Transition
Refex Mobility’s expansion into Delhi NCR reflects a broader trend of corporate adoption of clean transportation solutions across India. As the country accelerates its EV adoption targets, partnerships between private players and government initiatives are proving essential to developing a robust, low-emission mobility network.
With its growing electric fleet, advanced digital infrastructure, and sustainability-first approach, Refex Mobility is positioned to play a pivotal role in India’s transition to clean, efficient, and technology-driven transportation.
