Quench Chargers has introduced its new 60 kW Slimline DC fast charger, engineered to meet the demands of urban locations with space constraints and varied environmental conditions.
The Slimline model delivers a fixed 60 kW DC output and is about 20% smaller than existing chargers in its category. Measuring approximately 690 mm × 1485 mm × 303 mm and weighing 150 kg, the unit is designed for easy installation in tight spaces.
Key features include a wide voltage range, an IP65-rated interface for enhanced durability, low standby power consumption, and built-in smoke detection for added safety.
According to Quench’s Chief Dream Merchant Ravin Mirchandani, the Slimline was developed in direct response to feedback from charge point operators, addressing real-world operational challenges.
The charger is suited for city centres, highways, and industrial hubs. Quench also revealed plans for a 120 kW version, with the option to upgrade to 240 kW without replacing the base system.
