At an estimated cost of INR 12 crore, the city will host the world’s first electric vehicle battery testing facility. Pralhad Joshi, the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, lay the facility’s foundation stone. It is planned to be situated at the National Test House (NTH), which is part of the Regional Reference Standard Laboratory complex in Jakkur, on an acre. This facility will provide the sector with significant support by offering testing and certification services that guarantee the highest standards of quality and safety. Joshi stated, “More steps are required to boost the EV industry.
