Peugeot has introduced a comprehensive facelift of its all-electric E-308 and E-308 SW, marking a major upgrade just two years after their debut in Germany. The early refresh highlights Peugeot’s commitment to keeping its EV lineup competitive with extended range, new features, and a refreshed design.
Originally launched in 2022 and entering the German market in 2023, the E-308 now features a 58.4 kWh battery (55.4 kWh usable), replacing the previous 54 kWh pack. This upgrade is expected to deliver a WLTP range of around 450 km, up from 412 km, although official homologation is still pending. The drivetrain remains unchanged with a 115 kW motor producing 270 Nm of torque, but efficiency gains have been achieved through the battery update and aerodynamic improvements.
Charging performance remains limited to 100 kW DC fast charging, with a 20–80% top-up taking around 32 minutes. A standard 11 kW AC onboard charger is included, along with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, enabling the car to supply up to 3.5 kW of power for external devices. From spring 2026, Peugeot will also introduce Plug&Charge capability, allowing seamless charging without apps or cards, supported by OTA updates.
Another key addition is an integrated charging route planner. Unlike previous Stellantis systems, which required pre-set charging stops via the app, the updated system dynamically calculates routes based on distance, real-time consumption, battery charge, and available stations.
Beyond the technology upgrades, Peugeot has introduced its new brand design language to the E-308. The facelift includes a restyled front fascia, a more dynamic grille, new three-claw LED light signatures, and improved aerodynamics. GT trims will also feature an illuminated Peugeot logo for the first time.
The E-308 is built on Stellantis’ EMP2 platform, shared with the Opel Astra Electric, with production split between Mulhouse, France, and Rüsselsheim, Germany. The facelift aims to enhance Peugeot’s positioning as the sportiest Stellantis brand while addressing growing customer demand for range and technology improvements.
Pricing for the updated five-door E-308 and E-308 SW will be announced closer to their launch in autumn 2025.
