      NITK Signs MoU to Research on EV Technology

      NITK Surathkal has inked an MoU with SEG Automotive India Pvt Ltd, that aims at research collaboration in electric vehicle technology.

      NITK MoU ResearchThe MoU initiated by the impact group 1979, an alumni group, by K Rammourthy and Ajith, was signed recently.

      Some of the research topics include motor controller development; switched reluctance motor (SRM) design development; system integration in terms of motor, controller, internet of things (IoT) and mobile app design for e-rickshaw to be developed by SEG.

      In the case of IoT, NITK will develop it for different uses, by considering customer requirements. SEG will evaluate the uses, and consider them in their vehicle; mobile application designs and development and support in the projects related to the battery management systems.
