Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has announced several key senior management changes intended to strengthen the company’s leadership team and support the implementation of its business plan, The Arc.

This summer, Atul Pasricha, who is senior vice president for M&A, Partnership Finance, and Alliance Projects, will start making the move towards retirement. Pasricha will continue to be involved to enable a seamless transition even if his successor has not yet been announced.

Furthermore, on June 30, 2024, Yasunobu Matoba, who has served as Global IS/IT’s chief information officer (CIO) and corporate vice president, will retire.

In a noteworthy appointment, Jan Brecht will step into the newly created role of chief digital information officer (CDIO) effective July 1. Brecht, who will report directly to Stephen Ma, Nissan chief financial officer, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as CIO at Mercedes Benz since 2015. His expertise in digitalization is expected to be instrumental in driving Nissan’s long-term strategic goals.

These changes underscore Nissan commitment to strengthening its leadership team and advancing its digital transformation initiatives.
