Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility has set a new benchmark in sustainable logistics by dispatching 175 units of its flagship electric three-wheeler, the ‘Super Auto,’ through rail transport. The bulk shipment, sent from Tada in Andhra Pradesh to Siliguri in West Bengal, marks the company’s first major railway consignment, aligning with its vision of promoting cleaner and smarter delivery solutions.

The initiative ensures that dealerships across North and Northeast India remain fully stocked ahead of the festive season, eliminating waiting time for customers. Covering over 2,000 kilometers in less than 72 hours, the rail shipment slashed delivery timelines by more than 60% compared to road transport, which typically takes 12–14 days and requires 17–18 trucks.

By choosing rail over road, Montra Electric estimates that it has reduced carbon emissions by nearly 15,800 tonnes, while also cutting overall logistics costs by up to 30%. The move further helps ease highway congestion and highlights how leveraging India’s railway infrastructure can revolutionize sustainable distribution in the electric mobility sector.

To streamline supply further, Montra Electric has set up a dedicated warehouse in Siliguri to hold the dispatched vehicles before they are distributed to dealerships. This ensures immediate availability of the Super Auto to customers during the high-demand festive period.

Speaking on the milestone, Deependra Sharma, CEO of Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility, said,

“At Montra Electric, sustainability is not just about our products—it is ingrained in the way we operate. By adopting smarter logistics, we have reduced lead times, ensured faster customer deliveries, and significantly lowered our environmental footprint. This initiative reflects our commitment to clean mobility, operational excellence, and delivering greater value in a greener, more efficient way.”

The Montra Electric Super Auto has emerged as a strong contender in the last-mile electric mobility space. Designed with both performance and sustainability in mind, it offers a top speed of 55 km/h, a peak power output of 10 kW, and a customer-assured true range of 160 km. Key features include LED headlights, radial tubeless tyres, and a spacious cabin designed for passenger and driver comfort. Built with a 100% metal body and a sturdy Boron steel chassis, the Super Auto ensures enhanced durability and safety.

Currently available through more than 110 exclusive Montra Electric showrooms across India, the Super Auto is rapidly expanding its presence, reinforcing Montra Electric’s vision of delivering robust, cost-efficient, and eco-friendly last-mile mobility solutions.
