JSW MG Motor India has achieved a historic milestone with the MG Windsor crossing 50,000 units sold in under 400 days, making it India’s first four-wheeler electric vehicle to reach this landmark in record time. The remarkable sales momentum translates to an average of five Windsor EVs sold every hour, highlighting the model’s soaring popularity across metro and non-metro markets alike.

Launched as India’s first intelligent CUV, the MG Windsor has rapidly reshaped the country’s electric mobility landscape with its futuristic design, powerful performance, and compelling value proposition. The milestone reinforces strong nationwide EV acceptance and MG’s leadership in the growing four-wheeler EV segment.

Speaking on this achievement, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said,

“When we launched the Windsor EV, our mission was simple yet ambitious—create a mobility solution that is practical, stylish, and value-driven while accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India. Crossing 50,000 sales in record time is a landmark moment in India’s EV journey and a testament to rising consumer enthusiasm. This milestone inspires us to deepen our commitment to New Energy Vehicles as we shape the future of mobility in India.”

The brand recently introduced the MG Windsor Inspire, a limited-edition model unveiled by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, further strengthening the product’s appeal.

The Windsor’s growing footprint is largely driven by its modern design, advanced tech features, and segment-defining comfort. Priced attractively with a BaaS starting price of ₹9.99 lakh + ₹3.9/km*, the CUV blends the spaciousness of a sedan with the versatility of an SUV. It is powered by a 100 kW (136 PS) motor delivering 200 Nm torque, offering an efficient yet exhilarating driving experience.

The Windsor’s highlight features include the signature ‘AeroGlide’ design language, luxurious ‘Aero Lounge’ seats reclinable to 135 degrees, and a massive 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW Touch Display that elevates the in-car experience with intuitive controls and connectivity.

MG’s consistent innovation, consumer-centric approach, and expansion into new-energy mobility continue to cement its reputation as a frontrunner in India’s fast-growing EV market.
