      MG and HPCL to install fast charger at petrol pump for EV users

      MG and HPCL to install fast charger at petrol pump for EV users

      50kW/60kW DC fast chargers will be installed at strategic spots throughout India’s highways and in cities by MG and HPCL together for ev users. With a network of more than 22,000 petrol stations across the nation, HPCL Chief General Manager Rajdeep Ghosh stated that the firm is dedicated to a sustainable future by offering green fuel to consumers.

      PTI in New Delhi. On Wednesday, MG Motor India announced that it has partnered with HPCL, the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, to increase the nation’s infrastructure for electric vehicle chargingand ev users.

      According to the agreement, MG and HPCL will jointly install 50kW/60kW DC fast chargers at strategic sites including Indian towns and highways, the carmaker stated in a statement. By making more EV chargers available, the alliance hopes to make long-distance and intercity travel easier for EV users.

      MG Motor India Chief Development Officer Gaurav Gupta said, HPCL’s vast network and significant presence in India will ensure that existing and potential EV users across the country have convenient access to our charging solutions.

      HPCL Chief General Manager – Highway Retailing Rajdeep Ghosh said “The company has a countrywide network of more than 22,000 fuel stations and is committed to a sustainable future by providing green fuel to customers. Further, he said HPCL aims to set up 5,000 electric vehicle charging stations by December 2024”.

      Ghosh said, “Through this partnership with MG Motor India, HPCL will leverage MG’s vehicle base to increase the utilisation of its chargers installed across India”.
