To improve Malaysia’s EV charging infrastructure, Kazam has teamed up with QuickCharge, a well-known Charging Point Operator (CPO). Through this partnership, QuickCharge’s EV charging network will be better managed and scaled, and Kazam’s Charging Management Solution (CMS) will be implemented. In response to the increasing need for effective EV infrastructure, QuickCharge has installed more than 100 chargers in homes, hotels, and workplaces since implementing Kazam’s solutions.

Kazam’s charging management solutions, which include an app and dashboard access to monitor each charger, have significantly improved QuickCharge during the last six months. Between July and December 2024, the energy demand for EV charging more than doubled, and there were more than 50,000 app users.

Kazam’s Dynamic Tariff function, which allows for adjustable pricing based on a variety of vehicle criteria like time of day, state of charge (SOC), and other conditions, is also being tested by QuickCharge. “The next frontier in EV charging is represented by our Dynamic Tariff feature,” stated Akshay Shekhar, Kazam’s CEO and co-founder. “It not only maximises revenue but also guarantees a smooth and user-friendly experience for EV owners by adjusting to real-time conditions. QuickCharge’s adoption of this innovation to expand its network throughout Malaysia excites us.”

Strong government incentives, the development of infrastructure, and a growing trend towards environmentally friendly transportation are all contributing to Malaysia’s electric vehicle industry’s explosive growth. In response, QuickCharge intends to work with Kazam to install 2,000 new EV chargers throughout Malaysia in an effort to strengthen the country’s charging network and assist its expanding EV user base.

The goal of the QuickCharge-Kazam collaboration is to create an integrated and effective charging infrastructure as Malaysia makes the shift to electric vehicles. In line with the nation’s sustainable transportation objectives, this partnership aims to promote more EV adoption by growing the charging infrastructure to satisfy rising demand.
