      Indian EV and Auto Stocks Mostly End Higher on October 3

      Indian EV and Auto Stocks Mostly End Higher on October 3

      On October 3, 2025, shares of Indian electric vehicles (EV) and automotive companies closed up the day mostly higher with most companies up due to continued investor interest. Hero MotoCorp saw the most gains, as it closed with an increase of 2.18% to ₹5,550.50. Other notable gainers were Bharat Electronics (+1.52% at ₹412.65), Minda Corporation (+1.47% at ₹588.30), Sona Comstar (+1.44% at ₹419.70) and Greaves Cotton (+0.92% at ₹217.04).

      Longer-running companies in EV components, and mobility also had significant gains. Amara Raja Energy & Mobility increased at ₹999.05 and made 0.56% gains; Exide Industries rose at ₹398.05 and made 0.76% gains; Bosch rose at ₹38,630.00 and made 0.81% gains; and HEG rose at ₹516.90 and made 0.69% gains, indicating a continuing investor appetite for older companies which are achieving success in India’s growing EV ecosystem.

      Most stocks were up, but there were slight declines for some of the newer companies. Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. was down 3.34% to ₹53.99, Olectra Greentech was down 0.83% to ₹1,545.10, and Uno Minda was down 0.64% to ₹1,316.00. Tata Motors was also marginally down by 0.32% to close out the day at ₹716.10.

      Overall, the session continued to demonstrate positive sentiment towards the Indian EV sector and the automotive sector more broadly, with the performance of established OEMs and component suppliers leading the way. Investors are continuing to evaluate growth opportunities, production capabilities, and government policies favourable for the establishment of the sector in India.
