A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Switch Mobility Ltd. , the Hinduja Group’s electric vehicle division, and MoEVing, an electric mobility platform, to provide 2,500 of Switch Mobility Ltd.’s IeV4 electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Mobility has introduced the IeV4, a light commercial vehicle (LCV) that is a variation of the SWITCH IeV Series. It has a 120 km range and is designed with a 32.2 kWh battery. Second, it has a 1700 kg payload capacity with a telematics solution, a 60 kW motor, and 230 Nm torque. The business stated that this technology delivers real-time data for faster deliveries, optimises routes, encourages efficient driving, and guards against breakdowns.

Mahesh Babu, CEO, SWITCH Mobility Ltd., said, “Our SWITCH IeV4 which is India’s first eLCV in 3.5-ton category is built on a cutting-edge 310V high-voltage architecture for enhanced performance. Our vehicle offers superior payload, extended range and maximised volumetric space, all resulting in a significantly better TCO, making the  IeV4 the smarter choice for a greener future.”

Vikash Mishra, Founder and CEO, MoEVing said, “We will be introducing this innovative vehicle across all our customer networks, enhancing our commitment to transforming logistics with  solutions.”

The company aims to manufacture approximately 3,000 units per year, catering to diverse applications like cargo transport, containers, garbage collection, and refrigerated vans. Switch Mobility has already secured MoUs for 12,000 to 13,000 e-LCVs, demonstrating strong early demand.
