      Three New Electric Scooters of Hero Electric Unveiled

      Electric two-wheelers manufacturer, Hero Electric has introduced three new electric two-wheelers, Optima CX5.0 (dual battery), Optima CX2.0 (single battery), and NYX.

      Hero Electric According to the company, the new range of electric scooters features cutting-edge Japanese motor technology that provides a smoother ride as well as German ECU technology that delivers unparalleled precision performance.

      It is designed to withstand the harshest Indian weather conditions, including those in remote areas.

      Some features of Optima CX2.0 (single battery) and Optima CX5.0 (dual battery) include Digital Instrument Cluster, Telescopic Suspension, USB Port, Alloy Wheels, portable battery, LED Headlamp, Remote Lock & Anti-Theft Alarm, and Regen Braking.

      The top speed of both the scooter is 45 km/hr and it takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge them. Optima CX2.0 (single battery) has a range of 82 km/c while Optima CX5.0 (dual battery) has a range of 140 KM/c.

      Some key features of Hero Electric NYX HS500 ER Combi Brakes are, Split Folding Seat, an In-Dash Bottle Holder, and among others. The top speed of this scooter is 42 hm/hr with a range of 138 km/c and it takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge it.

      Naveen Munjal (managing director), of Hero Electric commented on the launch. “After 15 years’ unwavering dedication towards building India’s e-mobility ecosystem, we are fully committed to realizing India’s electric mobility mission. We are determined to bring this vision to fruition sooner than expected. Every product has been subject to extensive research and development with a primary focus of customer safety. We have also been working closely with our partners to meet the growing demand for EVs across the country. We are now proud to announce that our manufacturing units are capable of producing over 1 million vehicles each year.”

      Sohinder Gill, the CEO, spoke at the conference. He stated, “Our core philosophy was designing bikes that are both safe and super efficient.” We have taken the feedback of our 6 lakh bikes and created a new range of powertrains that can convert almost every drop of battery energy into usable km.”

      To strengthen the electric vehicle ecosystem plans to increase its manufacturing capacity and expand its distribution network. It boasts a new factory in Ludhiana and has a strategic partnership to the Mahindra Group.

      The company claims it can manufacture half a million bikes annually and plans to establish a greenfield plant for Rajasthan to produce two million units per year.
