The Ford Motor Company has strengthened its nationwide EV infrastructure footprint with the formal introduction of Ford Charge, a new dealer-backed charging network. The network, which is accessible to the general public and works with the majority of electric vehicles, consists of around 1,200 Ford-branded DC fast chargers spread throughout more than 320 dealerships in the US and Canada.

More than 3,000 DC fast chargers are currently available to the public at more than 800 Ford dealerships, providing EV drivers with more convenience while travelling to well-known locations. Although dealerships are free to choose their charging supplier, many have decided to work with Ford to oversee operations and guarantee dependability under the new Ford Charge brand.

The BlueOval Charge Network, the biggest public charging network in North America, is also integrated with these chargers. With over 100,000 charging stations, including Electrify America locations and Tesla Superchargers, Ford EV drivers are never far from a station. Most major U.S. highways have chargers within 18 miles.

“EV owners, regardless of brand, can travel with greater confidence thanks to Ford Charge,” stated Amanda Grappone Osmer, Dealer Principal at John Grappone Ford in Bow, New Hampshire.

By using its dealership network to swiftly and dependably extend its charging infrastructure, Ford is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to fostering consumer confidence in electric transportation.
