      EV and Auto Stocks Show Mixed Movements on September 23 Trading Session

      India’s auto and electric mobility stocks presented a mixed performance on September 23, reflecting cautious investor sentiment amid sectoral shifts.

      Amara Raja Energy & Mobility closed slightly higher at ₹1,008.65, gaining 0.49%, while Bharat Electronics dipped 0.48% to ₹404.45. Heavyweight Bosch also slipped 0.46% to ₹39,390, and Bharat Forge eased 0.40% to ₹1,251.

      Battery players showed contrasting trends. Exicom Tele-Systems fell 0.70% to ₹154.83, and Exide Industries edged down 0.15% to ₹403.25. In contrast, Greaves Cotton surged 3.05% to ₹225.40, marking the day’s strongest gain, signaling positive traction in small-cap EV-linked stocks.

      Among component makers, HBL Engineering declined 0.76% to ₹812.3, while Minda Corporation added 0.32% to close at ₹534.50. Uno Minda also posted a 0.34% uptick, finishing at ₹1,317.10. Uniparts India gained a notable 1.57%, ending at ₹427.3.

      Companies focused on electric vehicles had small but steady gains. Ola Electric ticked up a modest 0.40% to ₹58.24, and Olectra Greentech gained 0.58% to ₹1,671. Sona Comstar was up 0.18% to ₹421.35, and Tata Motors ticked up 0.74% to ₹701.35, indicating investor confidence in existing automotive makers pivoting toward electric mobility.

      Otherwise, Hero MotoCorp suffered selling pressure and went down 1.09% to ₹5,370.50, with JBM Auto also down 0.48% to ₹738.2. HEG managed a slight gain of 0.42% to close at ₹519.35.

      Overall, established automakers generally adjusted positively, mid-caps and EV focused companies including Greaves Cotton and Uniparts India had outsized gains, indicating targeted enthusiasm within the mobility sector.
