On July 4, the performance of India’s electric vehicle (EV) and auto component-related stocks remained mixed, reflecting cautious investor sentiment amid sector-specific developments and global uncertainties.

Among the top gainers, Bosch surged by 4.44%, closing at ₹35,930, driven by continued optimism around its role in the clean mobility and auto component ecosystem. Uniparts India also impressed the market with a 4.05% gain, ending at ₹415.80, followed by Ola Electric, which rose 2.76% to ₹41.73, indicating investor confidence in emerging EV startups.

Other notable gainers included Bharat Forge (up 1.22%) and Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (up 0.97%), both of which are seen as key players in EV batteries and components. Hero MotoCorp and Minda Corporation also posted modest gains.

On the downside, Greaves Cotton declined by 0.98%, closing at ₹204.65, while HBL Engineering, Olectra Greentech, and Exicom Tele-Systems also saw minor dips. Exide Industries, despite its strong position in the battery segment, managed only a slight gain of 0.15%.

Stocks like Tata Motors and Sona Comstar, both crucial to the EV supply chain, saw flat to mild losses, reflecting a “wait-and-watch” mode among investors.

In summary, while select stocks in the EV and auto component space are gaining traction, broader sentiment remains mixed. Market watchers are likely awaiting clearer policy signals and Q1 results to confirm the sector’s next big move.
