On July 28, 2025, the Indian stock market witnessed mixed activity in the electric vehicle (EV) and auto component sector. While some major players recorded solid gains, several others saw a decline in their share prices, reflecting cautious investor sentiment and company-specific developments.

      Top Gainers

Among the top performers, Exicom Tele-Systems Ltd. stood out with a strong gain of 3.99%, closing at ₹170.46. The company, known for its EV charging and battery solutions, appears to be attracting investor interest. Hero MotoCorp also performed well, rising by 1.43% to ₹4,291.10, likely boosted by its consistent efforts in EV launches and strategic partnerships. Bosch recorded a 1.08% gain, closing at a high of ₹38,235.00, possibly driven by its robust position in advanced auto electronics. Exide Industries and HEG also posted modest gains of 0.40% and 0.23% respectively.

      Moderate Movers

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. saw a slight gain of 0.15%, closing at ₹41.29, amid ongoing anticipation about its product roadmap and IPO buzz. Sona Comstar, a key auto component player, dipped by 0.84%, and Tata Motors slipped 0.66% to ₹682.9, despite continued interest in its EV segment.

      Notable Declines

On the downside, JBM Auto fell sharply by 2.94%, closing at ₹638.8, and Olectra Greentech dropped 2.85%, despite its prominent role in the electric bus space. HBL Engineering and Amara Raja Energy & Mobility also saw losses of 2.42% and 2.26% respectively.

Other companies that saw mild to moderate declines included Greaves Cotton (-1.73%), UNO Minda (-1.85%), Bharat Electronics (-1.51%), and Bharat Forge (-1.29%).

Overall, the day reflected a cautious trading environment with selective buying in fundamentally strong EV-related stocks.
