One of India’s fastest-growing electric two-wheeler manufacturers, Enigma EV, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with integrated EV platform evPe to deploy 1,000 specially designed e-bikes by the end of 2025 as part of a significant push for sustainable mobility in South India. The first 200 electric motorcycles are currently in service in Hyderabad as part of the initial deployment, which is targeted at fleet and gig economy riders.
With this strategic partnership, Enigma formally enters the Hyderabad market and supports evPe’s objective of enhancing the accessibility, effectiveness, and dependability of electric mobility for last-mile delivery services, fleet operators, and gig workers throughout urban India.
“Our collaboration with evPe marks a significant turning point in our growth in South India,” stated Anmol Bohhre, co-founder and CEO of Enigma EV. “With their strengthened chassis, improved battery management systems, and fast-track repair options, these bikes are specifically designed for uptime.” “The 1,000-bike MoU supports our objective of surpassing 10,000 fleet sales by FY 2026 and is evidence of the mutual trust and vision between our teams.”
Since its founding in 2015, Enigma EV has established a strong reputation by providing electric cars to organisations including BARC, the Indian Army, and the Indian Air Force. Hyderabad is a key market for the company’s aggressive B2B growth strategy, which calls for it to sell 21,000 units over the next two years.
evPe provides a full-stack EV ecosystem that includes leasing, finance, end-of-life car management, insurance, and charging infrastructure. It is well-known for its comprehensive mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) platform. The company offers reliable, profitable EV solutions to fleet operators and gig economy workers.
“Electric mobility needs to be dependable and profitable for the rider—and Enigma delivers on both fronts,” said Rohan Yeggina, Founder & CEO of evPe. “We’ve jumped right in, with 200 bikes already on the road.” “This Memorandum of Understanding marks the start of a more extensive partnership to expand reliable electric fleets throughout India.”
Redefining urban mobility is the goal of the Enigma-evPe cooperation, which will begin in Hyderabad and spread to other locations with high demand over the course of the next two quarters. The action is anticipated to promote India’s larger shift to clean, equitable, and sustainable transportation systems, drastically cut carbon emissions, and minimise operating costs for fleet users.
