In a significant push towards India’s growing dominance in the global e-mobility sector, EMotorad’s manufacturing division Dynem has officially started exporting high-performance, India-made electric bicycles to established brands in the United States.
The exports, which began earlier this month, mark Dynem’s entry into international OEM supply chains. The company has already begun shipping multiple container loads monthly and is working with 8 to 10 major U.S.-based clients. With a target of exporting over 20,000 e-bikes annually, Dynem aims to generate an annual recurring revenue of USD 10 million from its U.S. operations alone.
The e-bikes are being manufactured at Dynem’s state-of-the-art Giga Factory located in Maharashtra. The facility is built to meet stringent international standards, including ISO, SEDEX, and SCAN compliance, ensuring product quality, safety, and ethical manufacturing practices. Dynem’s products are customised to U.S. specifications, with some variants equipped with 750W batteries, catering to both recreational and commuting segments.
“Entering the U.S. market was a strategic decision baked into our planning from day one,” said Rajib Gangopadhyay, Managing Director of Dynem. “With global supply chains undergoing realignment and the rising demand for electric mobility, it is the right moment for us to expand globally.” “We are proud to position Indian manufacturing at the forefront of this change.”
What sets Dynem apart is not just performance and scale but also its cost advantage. The company benefits from lower U.S. import duties (0–2.5%), compared to as high as 25% for Chinese imports. This provides Indian-made e-bikes a pricing edge of up to 25%, making Dynem’s offerings especially attractive to U.S. partners.
EMotorad is not just limiting itself to OEM roles. The company has plans to launch EMotorad-branded e-bikes in the U.S. through local distributors, expanding its brand presence globally while continuing to supply private-label products to American companies.
The export milestone comes amid growing interest in India’s capabilities in clean-tech manufacturing. EMotorad has already deployed over 150,000 e-bikes within India and is now keen to replicate that success in international markets such as Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
With an existing order pipeline exceeding 10,000 units, Dynem is scaling up operations and expanding its dealer network to support growing demand. The company is also investing in next-gen battery systems, more efficient motors, and intelligent display technologies as part of its long-term roadmap.
This strategic move reflects India’s rising role in the global e-mobility supply chain and aligns with national initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. As global demand for sustainable transport rises, Dynem is set to be one of the flagbearers of India’s green tech export revolution.
