Emobi, North America’s largest EV charging roaming and JustPlug infrastructure provider, has announced a strategic partnership with ElectricFish, a California-based distributed energy innovator, to revolutionise EV charging across the continent. The alliance aims to accelerate the deployment of ultra-fast, grid-independent charging solutions for public and fleet use.
The partnership merges Emobi’s patented JustPlug technology with ElectricFish’s advanced 350Squared microgrid-scale battery storage and charging systems. Together, they address two of the biggest roadblocks to electric vehicle adoption—slow charging speeds and costly grid upgrades.
JustPlug technology enables secure, encrypted connections between EVs and chargers—supporting 80% of existing vehicles and charging hardware that lack Plug & Charge capabilities. Meanwhile, ElectricFish’s 350Squared units offer charging speeds 133% faster than standard solutions while reducing grid upgrade requirements by up to 90%.
“This partnership exemplifies our commitment to future-proofing EV infrastructure as we expand beyond public charging into fleet depots,” said Lin Sun Fa, CEO of Emobi. “By combining JustPlug with ElectricFish’s systems, we’re ensuring both secure charging today and readiness for tomorrow’s Vehicle-to-Grid ecosystem.”
Anurag Kamal, CEO of ElectricFish, added, “Our 350Squared units make EV charging as fast and simple as refuelling at a gas station. With Emobi, we can now offer that experience across a scalable, secure network.”
The integrated charging solutions will debut in Detroit, Redwood City, and Oakland, California, demonstrating how JustPlug-enabled ElectricFish stations can provide ultra-fast, grid-independent charging without requiring extensive electrical infrastructure.
This collaboration marks a significant step in creating a resilient, accessible EV charging network—empowering both individual drivers and fleet operators as North America transitions to electrified transportation.
