Irfan-Khan ebikegoAimed at providing environment-friendly means of transportation, eBikeGo is one of a kind revolutionary start-up that designs and deploys electric mobility solutions that empower people not only to enjoy the moment but also to thrive in the future

During the launch of MUVI 125 4G under Acer brand, Aishwarya had an interesting chat with Irfan Khan, CEO & Founder at eBikeGo.

Can you tell us about the product you showcased today at the EV India Expo 2023?

As the Founder and CEO of eBikeGo, I’ve spent the last 5 years immersed in the EV landscape. While the global market boasts of high-quality vehicles, there’s a noticeable influx of lower-quality imports in India, primarily driven by cost factors.

Instead of merely importing and assembling, we took a data-driven approach. We gathered insights from OEMs, end-users, and market trends to understand the needs of those transitioning to electric mobility. After deploying 2,500 vehicles and investing four years in rigorous market research, we’re proud to introduce our distinct brand of vehicle. Recognizing the power of brand association, we’ve collaborated with Acer, leveraging their license to launch this vehicle under the Acer brand.

Which EV segment does your product cater to, and who are your primary clients?

Our vehicle is meticulously crafted to serve both B2B and B2C segments. We’re targeting millennials and Gen Z, especially those in the 18 to 35 age bracket. We’re also actively seeking partnerships to bolster our B2B outreach.

      Do you offer after-sales services?

Absolutely. We have a robust presence in seven Indian cities, offering after-sales services to numerous last-mile logistic companies. Our commitment spans over four years, and we’ve established a comprehensive after-sales service network across India.

Could you share your perspective on the current EV manufacturing landscape in India?

My journey into the EV manufacturing realm began with extensive research in 2019. I quickly discerned that to truly make an impact in the EV sector, one must delve deep into market research, both for marketing and manufacturing.

Are there any upcoming projects in the pipeline?

While the product under ESL is our latest launch, we have an exciting lineup of vehicles awaiting introduction in the near future.
