C2A Security has announced that Andreas Andi Herzig, a highly experienced Deloitte Partner, has joined the company as an Advisory Board Member. C2A Security was named a Gold Winner at the European Startup Prize for Mobility, speaking on stage today at the Slush Founders Summit in Helsinki, Finland.

Andreas Herzig has been a Partner with Deloitte since 2001, in various senior management roles, including Automotive Lead for the Global Risk Advisory practice. He is responsible for creating innovative solutions and leading major national and international projects for OEMs and Suppliers. In addition, he is a lecturer at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany.

C2A Security CEO, Roy Fridman, said, “We’re very pleased to welcome Andi to the C2A Security family. Andi’s vast experience in the automotive sector will be an asset to C2A Security as we continue to scale up and pursue partnerships with the leading car makers and mobility companies across Europe, the US, China, Japan, and the rest of the world. Andi has a strong understanding of the automotive landscape globally, and we look forward to working together and help mobility companies manage risk and increase profitability as they transition to the software-defined vehicle era.”

Andreas Herzig, said, “Car makers and mobility companies are shifting their mindset towards risk management, as they ‘race’ to comply with UN Regulation No. 155 – 157 and other industry standards. And as our vehicles and their ecosystem become more software-defined, security is going to be ever more crucial in the development of the sector. C2A Security’s DevSecOps Platform for risk management is a cutting-edge solution creating an urgently needed transparency in regards to a vehicle’s security risk situation. Risk based mitigating activities represent the most efficient path to assure a high level of confidence in the vehicle’s security. This solution has been developed and will be maintained by some of the most talented teams I met in recent years. I’m excited to join the team as the company continues to grow and develop.”
