      Chinese EV Giant Released its Debut Electric SUV in India

      Chinese electric vehicle maker, BYD has officially unveiled its debut electric SUV, the Atto3, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 33.99 lakh.

      BYDBookings for the SUV had already begun on October 11, and as per the company press release, they have already registered close to 1500 bookings till now.

      The BYD is powered by a 60.48 kWh battery that is good for a range of 521 km, as per ARAI tests. The e-SUV is based on the EV platform, e-Platform 3.0, and is equipped with BYD’s ultra-safe Blade Battery technology.

      The Atto3 also features fast charging capability, wherein, zero to 80 percent of the battery can be charged in 50 mins. There are two chargers on offer – a 7 kW home charger, along with that a 3-kW portable charger.

      When it comes to its performance, the BYD Atto3 can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in 7.3 seconds.

      As for its features, the Atto3 comes loaded with it. For starters, there’s the L2 Advanced Driving Assitance System (ADAS) BYD Dipilot.

      In addition, the interior also features a 12.8-inch adaptive rotating screen, 360-degree holographic transparent imaging system, NFC card key, and a Vehicle to Load mobile power station.

      Moreover, the interior gets a wireless charging pad, an 8-speaker audio system, electric seat adjustment, voice control, and ambient lighting that responds to music rhythm, along with a PM 2.5 and CN95 air filter.

      As for the exterior, the BYD Atto3 boasts a sharp design language, that is further accentuated by sharp-designed LED headlights and LED tail lights.

      As for its post-purchase services, BYD is offering 6 years of roadside assistance and 6 free maintenances, Plus, 8 years or 1.6 lakh kilometers of warranty for the traction battery, 8 years or 1.5 lakh kilometers of warranty for the motor and the motor controller. And lastly, 6 years or 1.5 lakh kilometers for the vehicle.

      BYD currently plans to expand its physical presence in India. The brand aims to open at least 24 showrooms in 21 cities by the end of this year.

      And by the end of 2023, BYD will have 53 showrooms across India.
