BYD India achieved a noteworthy milestone with the delivery of 200 BYD SEAL electric luxury sedans to several locations, including Hyderabad, Kochi, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The simultaneous handover ceremonies thanked partners and customers and commemorated BYD SEAL’s quick success in the Indian market.

Since its March 5, 2024, launch in India, the BYD SEAL has secured over 1,000 reservations, making it a standout in the premium electric car market. The vehicle’s attractiveness as a game-changer in the luxury performance electric sedan sector is further highlighted by the amazing response. To fulfil the strong demand, BYD India would accelerate the next 200 sedan deliveries after the first one.

Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India, commented, “The BYD SEAL’s strong reception in India underscores the growing demand for premium electric vehicles that offer a seamless blend of performance, sustainability, style, and value. We are confident that the BYD SEAL represents another step in our commitment to accelerating a cleaner and greener future for India.”

The BYD SEAL is BYD’s third product in India, following the successful launches of the All-New e6, India’s first premium electric MPV, and the BYD ATTO 3, India’s first sports-born E-SUV. The BYD SEAL is available in three variants: Dynamic at INR 41,00,000, Premium at INR 45,55,000, and Performance at INR 53,00,000 (all ex-showroom prices). These options reflect BYD’s commitment to providing advanced electric vehicles at competitive prices.

The BYD SEAL has been recognized with the prestigious iF Design Award and features advanced technologies such as Cell to Body (CTB) and Intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC), based on the updated e-Platform 3.0. The sedan offers optional rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, advanced suspension systems, 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.8 seconds for the Performance variant and a range of 650 km for the Premium variant. The CTB technology integrates the battery within the chassis, enhancing safety, interior space, and aerodynamics. Additional features include ADAS Level 2, NFC card integration, and nine airbags, ensuring a well-rounded, stylish, efficient, and safe vehicle.

BYD India’s dealership network is dedicated to providing ease and convenience for customers, supporting the company’s comprehensive market portfolio and vision for sustainable mobility.
