In a significant step toward accelerating corporate electrification, BMW Charging and MINI Charging, in collaboration with Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS), have introduced a smart fleet charging solution designed to revolutionise how companies manage, monitor, and pay for electric vehicle (EV) charging.
The innovative digital platform connects individual fleet vehicle charging accounts with a centralised company account, enabling automatic billing, unified invoicing, and seamless driver reimbursement. This simplifies administrative processes while offering enhanced transparency and cost control for corporate users.
Streamlined Charging for Business Fleets
Tailored primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) managing up to 50 electric vehicles, the new system allows fleet operators to view all charging sessions through a central dashboard and receive a single consolidated invoice.
The solution also automates reimbursement for drivers, eliminating the need for manual claims or advance payments—a major advantage for businesses transitioning to electric mobility.
A BMW Group spokesperson stated, “This new solution represents a milestone in fleet electrification, combining simplicity, transparency, and efficiency to make EV adoption easier for businesses.”
Simple Setup and Integrated Operation
The setup process is designed to be quick and intuitive:
-
Fleet managers register a company account via CHARGE NOW.
-
Drivers sign up as business customers under BMW Charging or MINI Charging.
-
Both accounts are linked for automated billing and centralised monitoring.
Drivers can continue using their existing My BMW App or MINI App, maintaining familiar features such as Plug & Charge functionality, custom tariffs, and access to a growing pan-European charging network.
Pan-European Rollout and Expansion
The service was launched in August 2025 across 11 European markets, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK, before expanding to eight additional countries in September—among them Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Poland.
This rollout underscores BMW Group’s commitment to building a connected, sustainable charging ecosystem that enhances user experience and simplifies EV management for businesses across Europe.
Advancing Corporate Electrification Goals
With the introduction of this smart charging platform, BMW and MINI continue to lead the transition to intelligent, sustainable corporate mobility. The system empowers companies to adopt EVs efficiently while cutting costs and carbon emissions.
The partnership with Digital Charging Solutions GmbH marks a strategic milestone in BMW’s broader goal of fostering scalable, sustainable e-mobility infrastructure across global markets.
