In a major step toward accelerating India’s urban electric mobility revolution, BLive EZY, the country’s leading electric vehicle (EV) rental and franchise platform, has announced its expansion into Kolkata, with plans to deploy a fleet of 5,000 electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers over the next three years.
The initiative constitutes an important turning point in BLive EZY’s nationwide growth strategy, aimed at transforming the last-mile delivery ecosystem through sustainable and affordable EV solutions. With this launch, Kolkata becomes the latest addition to BLive EZY’s operational network, which already spans Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa, covering over 3,000 EVs and 50+ franchise partners across India.
Empowering Entrepreneurs Through a Franchise Model
BLive EZY operates on a unique franchise-based model, allowing entrepreneurs and small business owners to participate in India’s fast-growing e-mobility sector. With an initial investment of around ₹25 lakh, franchise partners can own and operate their EV fleet, which is then deployed through partnerships with leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, and Blinkit.
In this model, BLive EZY oversees fleet deployment, maintenance, and rider operations, guaranteeing a seamless experience for franchisees and a dependable service for business clients. The approach creates a sustainable income opportunity for local entrepreneurs while supporting India’s transition to electric transportation.
Driving Sustainable Urban Logistics in Kolkata
Kolkata, one of India’s most dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce markets, currently has low EV penetration in delivery fleets—around 2%. BLive EZY’s entry aims to bridge this gap by introducing a robust network of electric vehicles that will reduce emissions, lower operational expenses, and enhance delivery efficiency across the city.
The rollout will include a mix of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, sourced through partnerships with reputed Indian EV manufacturers such as TVS, Ampere, and Kinetic Green. The company’s focus on sustainable fleet solutions aligns with India’s national goal of achieving 30% EV adoption by 2030.
Speaking on the expansion, Samarth Kholkar, Co-Founder and CEO of BLive, said,
“Our entry into Kolkata marks a new chapter in our mission to make clean mobility accessible to everyone. With growing demand in last-mile delivery, we are committed to providing reliable EV solutions while empowering local entrepreneurs through our franchise model.”
Strengthening India’s Electric Mobility Infrastructure
With this strategic expansion, BLive EZY is not just growing its presence but also contributing to India’s green mobility and net-zero emissions vision. The company plans to expand to other metro cities, including Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi, by 2026.
As e-commerce and logistics grow quickly, electric mobility solutions like those from BLive EZY are expected to help lower carbon emissions, use energy more efficiently, and create new job opportunities in the clean technology sector.
