The Chetak 2901 is the brand-new line of Chetak electric scooters that Bajaj has brought to the market. Starting at Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom, Bangalore), this new series is priced. Reservations are being accepted at all 500 Chetak showrooms around the country as well as on the company website. Delivery dates start on June 15.

The Chetak 2901, which is positioned below the Chetak Urbane, is the base model in Bajaj’s lineup of electric scooters. It has a similar appearance to the previous two versions and comes in five different colour choices: Lime Yellow, Azure Blue, White, Black, and Red.

During the launch event, Eric Vas, President of Urbanite at Bajaj Auto Ltd., remarked, “We are thrilled to begin shipments of the Chetak 2901 to our dealerships. The Chetak 2901 is designed, specified, and priced to attract customers who currently use petrol scooters, offering a full-size metal body electric scooter that competes with and exceeds petrol scooters without straining their budget.”

The Chetak 2901 is powered by a smaller 1.8kWh battery compared to the Chetak Urbane’s 2.9kWh battery. It offers a range of 123 km (ARAI) on a single charge and a top speed of 63 kmph, whereas the Urbane provides a range of 113 km and a top speed of 73 kmph.

In terms of features, the Chetak 2901 includes a colored digital console, alloy wheels, and Bluetooth connectivity. Customers can upgrade their scooter with the TecPac, which includes features like hill hold, reverse, sport and economy modes, call and music control, follow-me-home lights, and Bluetooth app connectivity.
