Audi has strengthened its electric mobility roadmap in China with the global premiere of the A6L e-tron and the reveal of an all-new Audi e-SUV concept at Auto Guangzhou 2025. The showcase underscores the company’s sharper EV focus in the world’s largest electric vehicle market and highlights its accelerating product rollout under the Audi–SAIC partnership.
The new Audi A6L e-tron, developed specifically for Chinese consumers, is built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture co-developed with Porsche. The electric luxury sedan features a long-wheelbase design for enhanced rear-seat comfort, a high-efficiency powertrain, and advanced digital capabilities tailored for China’s tech-centric buyers. Audi stated that the A6L e-tron will offer segment-leading range, fast-charging performance, and next-generation infotainment, aligning with premium EV expectations in the region.
Complementing the A6L e-tron debut, Audi also unveiled a bold E-SUV concept, previewing the design language and technology direction of its next-generation electric SUVs for China. The concept emphasizes aerodynamic styling, an immersive digital cockpit, and state-of-the-art driver assistance features, signaling a major upgrade to Audi’s electric SUV portfolio.
Audi reaffirmed its commitment to China as a strategic EV hub, noting that the brand is expanding its local production capacity, battery partnerships, and software integration capabilities. The Audi–SAIC collaboration is expected to fast-track new EV launches, enabling the company to compete more aggressively with domestic leaders such as BYD, Nio, Xpeng, and Li Auto.
Executives shared that China will remain central to Audi’s global electrification plan, with a strong focus on premium EVs, locally attuned designs, and advanced connectivity features demanded by Chinese consumers. The new models introduced at Auto Guangzhou 2025 represent Audi’s push to regain momentum in the competitive luxury EV space while accelerating its shift toward fully electric mobility.
With the A6L e-tron set to enter production soon and the E-SUV concept laying the foundation for upcoming models, Audi is reinforcing its ambition to become a dominant force in China’s next phase of premium electric mobility.
