Joint venture between French energy giant TotalEnergies SE and Adani group, Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) has received CESL tender for EV Charging Stations in 8 cities for 8 years.

EV Charging StationsThe EV charging stations will be launched in cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat and Pune.

With ATGL, Adani forayed into the electric mobility infrastructure sector earlier this year and also launched its first EV charging station in Ahmedabad.

ATGL is also the largest private CNG and piped cooking gas distributor in the country.

With the latest move, the firm will be able to expand operations to newer Indian cities. It has previously also announced that it aims to expand its network by setting up 1,500 EV charging stations across the country.

In addition, it has also kept an expansion plan ready to further advance beyond these 1,500 EV charging stations, based on the demand generation and momentum building of the EV ecosystem in India.
