      ASDC National Automobile Olympiad Concluded Successfully

      Automotive Skills Development Council has announced the conclusion of the ASDC National Automobile Olympiad, organized in partnership with NPOCA – National Program on Career Awareness.

      Automobile Olympiad The competition aimed to pique school students’ interest in the automotive industry and offer them with basic to advanced information.

      This virtual event saw the participation of 5000+ students from grades 7 to 12 across India and other countries including Dubai, Nigeria, and Qatar. ASDC National Automobile Olympiad was started on May 27, 2022, and consisted of three stages. 30 students from 25+ schools were shortlisted for the final.

      In Group-1, Class 8 student Abhidnya Kadam from Seven Isles International School in Mumbai was declared the winner, with Aditya Das and Kumari Gandharvi from Mayur Public School in Delhi as first runners-up, Vivan Nikhil Jaipurkar (Class 7) from GD Goenka Public School in Sarita Vihar New Delhi, and Devansh (Class 8) from Little Flower Senior Secondary School in Delhi, were the second runners up.

      In Group-2, Shreyas (Class 10) from Terna the Orchids International School in Bangalore emerged as the winner. In Group-3, Nikhil Agarwal of Class 12 from B.C.M Arya Model Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana and Khushi Jain of Class 11 from Vidya Devi Jindal School in Hisar were jointly declared as winners.

      ASDC’s CEO, Arindam Lahiri, highlighted the importance of the Automobile Olympiad and ASDC’s contribution to upskilling the students and said, “We believe that skilling is the only way to grow skilled employment, self-employment, the economy, and citizens’ secure futures.”

      Arun Mittal, Project Director – NPOCA said: “The response from the schools & students has been encouraging, especially since this was the 1st year of the National Automobile Olympiad. We are committed to building a strong ecosystem for promoting Career Education in schools and this partnership certainly helps us in that pursuit.”

      Abhidnya Kadam, Shreyas Kar, Nikhil Agarwal and Khushi Jain, the first-place winner, jointly expressed their gratitude towards ASDC for providing such a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills in the automotive industry.
