AITO, the luxury intelligent vehicle brand developed by SERES Automobile in Chongqing, has officially launched its ASEAN market journey with the inauguration of the “Open The Way With AITO” ceremony at the SERES Super Factory.

The high-profile event marks a significant milestone in the globalisation of Chongqing-made automobiles and aligns with China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The ASEAN expansion is a strategic move to strengthen China’s automotive footprint across Southeast Asia.

The launch follows the success of the “Eurasian Tour with AITO” last year, where the brand crossed 12 countries in 38 days and made its international debut at the Paris Motor Show. The 2025 ASEAN tour, set to begin this year, will coincide with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Indonesia.

Leon He, President of SERES Automobile, highlighted the significance of the move:
“This ASEAN journey is strategically important for us as we expand into Southeast Asia. AITO represents intelligence redefining luxury and sets a new benchmark for China’s smart manufacturing on the global stage.”

AITO’s vehicle lineup, tailored for Southeast Asia’s diverse driving environments—from city traffic to rainforest roads—features advanced Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension for comfort and stability. The Super Extended-Range Platform enables a driving range of over 1,000 km, supported by an industry-leading thermal efficiency of 44.8%.

Beyond showcasing products, AITO plans to actively engage with local users, refine offerings, and establish partnerships aimed at developing a sustainable, smart global mobility ecosystem.

This ASEAN initiative is a strong reaffirmation of AITO’s commitment to bringing Chinese innovation to international markets, delivering smarter, safer, and more connected mobility experiences to global consumers.
