      Zuperia Auto Pvt. Ltd., formerly operating under the Lohia brand, has officially entered the L5 electric passenger three-wheeler segment with the launch of its Youdha EPOD, priced at approximately ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as an affordable, durable, and eco-friendly solution for urban and semi-urban mobility, the model is expected to challenge established players such as Mahindra and Bajaj.

      Key Specifications and Highlights

      The Youdha EPOD is designed for practicality and long-term performance. Its major specifications include:

      • Top Speed: 45 km/h

      • Battery Pack: 11.8 kWh LFP Smart Battery

      • Range: 227 km per charge (certified)

      • Motor: 6 kW electric motor

      • Charging Time: 4–5 hours

      • Chassis: Monocoque metal body

      • Instrument Cluster: 7-inch digital display

      • GVW: 725 kg

      • Dimensions: 2820 × 1350 × 1785 mm

      • Gradeability: 13°

      The vehicle also offers a modern cabin design with improved ergonomics, ensuring comfort for both drivers and passengers.

      Market Strategy and Expansion

      Zuperia Auto is rolling out the Youdha EPOD in high-demand markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, followed by a phased expansion across India. The company has set a sales target of 3,000 units by the end of this financial year.

      The model will be manufactured at Zuperia’s upgraded facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, which has an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles.

      In terms of brand positioning, Youdha is targeted toward the mass market, while the Lohia brand will continue catering to premium customers.

      Long-Term Vision

      The company has ambitious growth plans, aiming for a turnover of ₹1,000 crore by 2030. Its upcoming product pipeline includes extended passenger variants with a six-passenger seating option and a foray into the electric two-wheeler market within the next two years.

      With its 227 km certified range, efficient charging system, and competitive pricing, the Youdha EPOD stands out as a strong alternative for fleet operators and drivers seeking affordable and reliable electric mobility. Its launch marks a significant step forward for Zuperia Auto in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle ecosystem of India.
